Seniors’ Pastor

Do you have a heart for evangelising, discipling and caring for seniors?

We are seeking a Seniors’ Pastor who loves Jesus, loves people and loves the gospel. You’ll have a heart for Seniors (65+) – reaching out to those who don’t know Jesus, caring for those within the church family, as well as building teams to release the many gifts and talents with this demographic.

Job Description

Please download a copy of the Seniors Pastor job description. You'll also find a person specification and church ethos statement.

In recent years All Saints has created a specific paid ministry role of Seniors’ Pastor. Not simply a pastoral worker for older people, but a strategic role to reach out to and build up an important part of our church family and wider community.

This role has been set at 30 hours per week. The hours can mostly be deployed flexibly. We’d be happy to consider sharing or splitting the role.

All Saints Lindfield is an Anglican, evangelical church. We are part of the Church of England, within the Diocese of Chichester and affiliated to the Sussex Gospel Partnership.

Each Sunday around 400 adults and 100 young people gather to worship in one of our three regular congregations (9.30am, 11.15am and 6pm).

Our beliefs and vision as a church is best summarised in our ‘Core Convictions‘.

Lindfield is a attractive, semi-rural village set on the edge of Haywards Heath, in the heart of Mid-Sussex. It’s well connected by virtue of the proximity of London-Brighton line and A23 corridor. By train you can quickly reach London Victoria (45m), Brighton (16m) and Gatwick Airport (11m).

All this while being a short hop to the beach, a walk on the South Downs, or exploring the Ashdown Forrest. Lindfield is a village with a community feel and outstanding schools. The community is a real mix of young families alongside a settled retired population – this breadth is reflected in our own church community.

Tiger @ Ten

A fortnightly gathering for seniors with coffee and cake, crafts and games, time for fellowship and always a Thought for the Day. Around 80 people attend every other Tuesday. Tiger @ Ten is a welcoming, outward looking group, with a number of small groups flowing from it.

Meeting on alternate Tuesday mornings (dovetailing with Tiger @ Ten) this is a group for those with Cognitive Impairment and their carers. Started in Autumn 2025, Forget me Knots is an interactive music Cafe, a place of safety, warmth,  light-hearted singing and fun.

Care Homes

The Seniors’ Pastor recruits and trains teams of volunteers to lead ministry within local care homes, including Compton House, a Christian care home founded by the churches of Lindfield in 1992.

Pastoral Care
