Music Ministry

The musical life at All Saints’ is vibrant and spans a wide breadth of styles.

Contemporary music

Mainstream contemporary worship takes place at our 9.30am and 6pm (Cornerstone) services. The evening service is particularly focussed on getting our under-30s involved, although participation is open to everyone. There is a community of musicians who serve each congregation; if you can help lead us by singing or playing an instrument then do get in touch.

Daytime Choir

There is a choir who help lead the 11.15am service each week, rehearsing on Thursday afternoons at 3.30pm. We read from SATB parts although there is a range of reading ability among our members. If you appreciate traditional forms of worship and classical music, then our choir could be the place for you.

Church Festivals

At Christmas and Easter we tend to gather larger groups of singers and musicians to enhance our singing for the main Christian festivals. Watch out for notices nearer the time.

Come and Sing Requiem: Good Friday 2025

In 2023 All Saints were pleased to welcome the New Sussex Singers to help us deliver a Good Friday “Come and Sing Requiem,” and we are thrilled to be welcoming the choir back for another Big Sing in 2025. This year our joint work will be Matthew Coleridge’s Requiem, which was written in 2023 and was one of the UK’s most popular new choral works, becoming one of the highest new entries in the Classic FM Hall of Fame.

We are pleased to present this opportunity to come and sing the Coleridge Requiem – if you would like to sign up then please fill out the online form using the link below:

There will be three Friday nights in the run up to Good Friday where we gather to learn and hone the work. There will also be a preparatory sessions to help less confident music-readers to get to grips with the music.

We aim to make “Come and Sing” Requiem as accessible as possible, and encourage anyone who has previous choral experience to join in. This event will likely be challenging for complete beginners, but if you are unsure then do feel free to attend some sessions and see how you get on.
