Bell Ringing

Bell Ringing artwork

The bell ringers cover a range of age and experience. We welcome new faces at any time of year to join us to either get a taste of bell ringing, to rediscover it after a break or for those bell ringers new to the area looking for a friendly tower to share and practice their skill. Bell Practice will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The team rings together every Sunday, morning and evening. To find out more get in touch:

Cycling Club

Cycling Club artwork

We're keen, friendly and very amateur 😊 cyclists from across the church family who get together every so often to enjoy the local countryside. Over the last few years and in support of building projects for the Romanian orphanage (Caminul Felix) we've had charity rides London to Brighton, around the Isle of Wight, Canterbury to Lindfield, even London to Paris for two hardy souls. All ages (18-80) and abilities welcome. Contact Laurence Trigwell to find out more.

English Language Class

Would you like to learn English as a foreign language? Do you need support adapting to British culture? Would you enjoy meeting others learning a new language? Our English language group began in 2021, to help those from Ukraine to learn English - but now it is open to all. Our teachers, Terri and John, lead the group each week to learn English and everyday language skills at a pre-intermediate level. The group meets every Monday morning at 9.30am in the Tiger. Friday Prayers

Friday Prayers artwork

We are a small group who meet regularly to pray for the church and the world, at 7.30am on a Friday morning. It is an informal meeting with most, but not all, members leading on a rota basis. We normally share a bible reading or psalm, sing a song and pray as we feel led. There is no agenda and we finish promptly at 8.15am. We would love others to join us every week or occasionally, not everyone attends every week. There is no requirement to pray out loud or to make a long term commitment. Do come and see! Contact Peter Candy for more details.

Gardening

We started this group after the refurbishment of the church aiming to make the grounds feel more cared for and welcoming. Soon we found we rather enjoyed meeting up to do a bit of gardening. Anyone is welcome to join us and no gardening experience is required. We meet most Fridays at 10am for a couple of hours. For more information please contact Herta Kingdom:

A small group who meet together on the first Friday of each month, at 2pm, for a couple of hours. People bring sewing in its various forms - quilting, embroidery, cross stitch etc - or maybe knitting or crochet instead. We start the afternoon with tea, coffee etc, plus biscuits and even the occasional cake. Of course there's always plenty of chat and laughter too.   For more information, please contact Heather Barling -

This is a welcoming social group hosted every fortnight at 10 o'clock on Tuesdays, in the church building. The group was set up as a fortnightly session and thrives today with a team and membership of about 90 people. We enjoy a very wide range of creative, cerebral, and physical activities and a daily short Christian talk. We know folks enjoy the freshly baked cakes and biscuits and of course cheese scones!
