Many people spend two thirds of their waking time at work. At all saints Lindfield we want to support Christians in the workplace and encourage them to see their work as a vocation from God. We do not want to view Church members exclusively as how they might contribute to the church in their neighbourhood, but rather as how they might contribute to the growth of the kingdom wherever God has placed them.
Workplace Support Ministry One of the good things about being part of a large church is that there is a huge fund of knowledge, experience and potential advice within the membership of All Saints. The challenge is that, being such a large church, it is rarely possible to know who is the right person with the relevant experience to share! Workplace issues you might like to chat and pray over include
Career planning
Witnessing in the workplace
Working in the Commercial Sector
Working in the Public Sector
Being self-employed
Doing voluntary work
Finding a new job
Retirement
Becoming a Non-Executive Director
Starting your own business
Mid-life career change
Facing redundancy
Conflict with colleagues
Workplace ethical issues
Workplace stress issues
Work-life balance
Managing people issues
But it doesn't need to be a crisis—sharing any matter, big or small, with a fellow Christian can help. The Workplace Support Team either have direct experience themselves or can put you in touch with an appropriate person for discussion and prayer.
Specialist Advice There may well be times in your working life when you would appreciate specialist advice. The Workplace Support Team will still be able to help find appropriately qualified Christian and other advisers in areas such as:
Employment Law
Financial and debt advice
Counselling
Ethics
