Each stage of life brings with it opportunities and challenges, but old age probably has more of the latter than the former. As our bodies grow older, we are able to do less, even though we may not feel any different "on the inside". Old age can be a time of frustration and regret, isolation from families and friends, of fearfulness, anxiety and loss.

Lindfield has a large number of Residential and Nursing Homes and all saints Lindfield has an important ministry to them. At present, we have teams of visitors in eight of these Homes. We work with the staff and with members of other churches to provide a ministry which recognises the dignity of those who are at this stage of life. We try to bring spiritual comfort and nourishment to each resident irrespective of religious affiliation or none.

Our aim is to provide

• regular visits from lay visitors
• Holy Communion and other services
• periodic Senior Alpha courses
• Bible studies
• spiritual counsel and prayer on a one to one basis
