I am sure that the fellowship will want to record its appreciation for all their excellent work. If you would like to contribute to a gift for each of them, please will you use the yellow envelopes in the church pews and mark it with the name of the relevant recipient. We will have an opportunity later in the summer to say goodbye in a more personal way.
The unusually large turnover of staff this summer has given the Ministry Oversight Team and the PCC an opportunity to think a bit more creatively about our staff structure and you will see on the inside pages, adverts initially for two new posts: a Children’s and Families Pastor and Pastor for Cornerstone Ministries, both full-time. The former is a significantly expanded role to undertake pioneering work with families in the spiritual nurture of children. The latter role seeks to bring together all our youth and young adults ministries under the Cornerstone umbrella name, thus emphasizing the desire to strengthen the link between our current youth/young adult ministries and our youth-focused service of worship.
These are exciting opportunities, but we need to pray that exactly the right people are appointed to these posts. Please keep this in your prayers over the next month. James
