An exciting term is in store. We start our new series tonight: ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ as we look at the ‘I am...’ sayings of Jesus. After that, we have two shorter series: ‘Counting the Cost’ a look at personal discipleship, and ‘The Foolishness of God’ which will unpack the themes of the opening chapters of 1 Corinthians.
Much prayer and thought has gone into the launch, and we’d value your continuing prayers. It might be that you’ve never been to a CORNERSTONE service before, but please do feel free to join us - here’s what to expect:
Our time together starts at 6pm with fresh coffee and delicious home-made cakes, and a great chance to catch up with friends old and new. We take our seats at about 6.30pm for an hour (or so) of music, praying and a talk. Each service is creatively shaped to ensure all parts of the service help us apply the biblical teaching, and during ‘This Time Tomorrow With...’ we also get to know different members of the church family.
The Talk is the central part of our time together, with ‘Text-A-Question’ enabling some interaction. Jonathan is overseeing the music, with a variety of different sounding bands and music groups, leading us in songs old and new. Furthermore, we want everyone to feel involved, so please share your comments, video links and song suggestions on the CORNERSTONE page of the church website; search facebook for CORNERSTONE or tweet @aslcornerstone.
We really pray that CORNERSTONE will glorify the Lord Jesus as young and old gather together, to grow in our knowledge and love of Him, and hope you will join us this evening as we share the Lord’s Supper and consider Jesus being the Bread of Life!
