Women Together launched in September this year, as the successor to CAMEO – the women’s group at All Saints Church. It is a name change – but it goes beyond that. Our aim is to be accessible to as many women as possible, with a wide range of events to suit those of differing stages in life, whether 20 or 80, full time mum, retired or in full time work.
Our launch event saw nearly 50 such women meet for wine, cheese, chat and games in the Tiger Hall. Next year we have brunches, suppers and breakfasts planned, not to mention the Weekend Away on the 8-10 May. At some events we look at a biblical topic and apply it to our own lives as women today in God’s church – others are purely for fun and to get to know each other better. We really believe that mutual encouragement and support is the best way that we can help each other to become more confident in our faith and fulfil our God-given purpose.
On November 29th we are holding a reflective service for Advent in the church at 4pm. This is be a time to draw near to God in silence and prepare our hearts for this time of Advent – more details inside.
