Short Term Missions

Going for Growth

...on short term mission

Going for Growth is an ambitious scheme to encourage as many of the All Saints' church fellowship as possible to undertake an overseas visit to one of our contacts with the worldwide church. Our dream is that each church member will be excited by what God is doing in different parts of the world. In the past ten years we have actively encouraged members of the church to undertake such visits, sometimes as a precursor to longer periods of time. Teams from All Saints have made visited many countries, including:

  • Caminul Felix - Oradea, Romania
  • Isubilo - Ndola, Zambia
  • Light for Life - Bulgaria
  • Prayer Team - Sapporo, Japan
  • Five Talents - Uganda

Keith Marsh Bursary

Keith Marsh Bursary
Keith Marsh

In 1997, Keith Marsh, a faithful church member, left the residue of his estate to All Saints’. Keith, a former teacher at Great Walstead School, had a particular interest in world mission and the development of young people. In gratitude for Keith’s generosity, we sought to reflect these interests in the use to which we put the money. With this substantial legacy, we were able, amongst other things, to establish a Bursary Fund to help young people experience the worldwide church through small grants of money. Applications can be made to the Vicar & Churchwardens who are the Trustees
The Timios Trust

The Timios Trust was formed in 1999 in memory of Tim Skipp, the nephew of Jeremy Taylor, one of our church members, who died tragically in a road accident in Australia, together with three of his friends. Tim was in his early twenties, a committed Christian with a love of travel and of service to others. The word "Timios" is Greek for "highly honoured".

The Trust awards travel bursaries to individuals undertaking voluntary Christian service projects. The Trust helps with the travel costs for those accepted by other organisations. The applicant may be working at home or abroad for a period of at least 1 month. The Trust considers applicants from individuals aged 18 and over. They may be working as part of a team or by themselves but always under the supervision of an organisation.
