all saints Lindfield

Sunday 1 January
¨  Give thanks for the Christmas services; that we, and those who were visitors, may, like Mary, ‘ponder these things in our hearts’ and that the Holy Spirit may bring us to a deeper understanding of ‘Emmanuel’, God with us.
¨  For those preaching or leading worship at today’s services.

Monday 2 January
¨     For those among us who are unwell and suffering with a variety of problems.
¨      For those, not listed here, but  are suffering life-threatening illnesses, endless pain, delays in receiving treatment, feelings of hopelessness and anxiety.

Tuesday 3 January
¨ For those who, in the current economic climate, are suffering with financial difficulties; pray for those who are insecure in their employment and for those threatened with redundancy.

Wednesday 4 January
¨     For the young people amongst us, many not named here, but who nonetheless struggle with health issues.
¨     For children and young people in All Saints. For the Good News Club (Sun.); for those in Pathfinders (Sun. & Thurs.); PoDs (Mon.); Encrypt (Fri.) and Easy Tigers (Wed.). For Tiger Cubs (weekday mornings); Rainbow (Wed.); Noah’s Ark (Tues.); Twins’ Club (Fri.); and crèches.

Thursday 5 January
¨     Forall the leaders and members of various All Saints’ groups, pray for them as they restart their programmes.
¨     For the evangelistic opportunities at All Saints and beyond; especially that each one of us may respond to God’s call to live out the good news of Jesus Christ.
¨     For the various schools in the Parish and beyond; pray for those who are teachers or assistants; for those who are governors or active members of parent/teacher associations.

Friday 6 January
¨     For the older members of our All Saints’ family, that they may feel loved, cherished and cared for.
¨     For the regular services that take place in our local residential/nursing homes; for all the residents that they may enjoy the services and find comfort in them.
¨     Pray that we may all support,  affirm and value those who are elderly.

Saturday 7 January
¨     For those who are preparing to preach or lead worship in various ways tomorrow; pray too for the GNC and it’s leaders; also for those who prepare the Church and Tiger for our use; for those who act as welcomers, pray that each of us may remember that we should all look out for, and welcome, those who are visitors or new members of the church family.
