May these beautiful words be a constant comfort to our older friends within our Church family when they are finding the difficulties, frustrations and aches and pains of old age hard to bear.

¨ As we think of the many little ones and young people known to us who are in need of the Lord’s healing touch, lets rejoice in all the new babies joining our church family. Pray for all new young families, that parents would get adequate rest and especially time together as a couple in spite of all the demands of family life.
Friday 25 May
¨ For all those who are bereaved; for those who struggle with difficult relationships and those who face singleness and loneliness. Pray for single parents and for those struggling through the difficulties of the teenage years. Pray for the ‘mind of Christ’ as they face challenging decisions.
Saturday 26 May
¨ Give thanks for James and Chris Clarke and Adam and Kate Pymble and their families; particularly pray for oppor-tunities for them to find rest and refreshment; pray their day off really is a day off; and pray for opportunities to get away from the parish and to find mental, physical and spiritual renewal.
¨ Pray the Lord would draw near and pour out His comfort and blessing on the older members of the Church family. Give thanks for all our nursing and residential homes and pray for all those who are still managing to stay in their own homes, that they would be able to get the help and support they need.
¨ For those preparing to take any leadership in tomorrow’s services; pray for the Holy Spirit to fill them and inspire them.

¨ For those suffering as a result of the recession, especially those who have lost their jobs or whose employment is far from secure; pray for those who struggle to pay their domestic expenses.

¨ For our older friends and relatives in our All Saints family, that they too would be able to wait patiently for our heavenly Father to meet all their needs.
¨ Give thanks for those who have responsibilities in the various civic authorities; pray for wisdom and understanding in all they do and decide upon; pray for the service at All Saints on Sunday (20th)

¨ For those who await diagnosis of their condition, for strength to cope with the results, especially when the news is life threatening; for those who may have a long period of recovery; many do not want publicity of their condition, may we be prayerful for those whose names are not in our prayer list.
¨ For those preparing to lead worship; may we know the presence of the risen Lord Jesus in our midst.

¨ For all those who staff the various care homes in Lindfield.
¨ Pray that we may take with us, into the coming week, all that we hear and share in our worship; pray for our routine activities which we may often overlook in our prayer times.

¨ Praise the Sovereign King of Heaven that we can bring all those with special needs to the throne of grace in the assurance the He is able to do far more than we can ever imagine.
¨ For those recovering from recent surgery, that they would be able to rest and recover speedily. For peace in the frustration for those who are waiting for medical results and appointments.

¨ For families where the work/home life balance is difficult to maintain and where this struggle encroaches on spiritual growth.
